the UniBond Premier Division after winning play-offs. Knocked out of the FA
Cup in the 1st qualifying round by Horden Colliery Welfare. ONE TO WATCH
Sean Parrish - The current Telford captain. A
vastly experienced midfielder that started his career at Shrewsbury Town,
he scored the goal that secured promotion for the club in last season's

Football League and amongst his clubs can count

THE GROUND
Bucks Head was opened in 1898.
Over a period of three years, starting in 2000 the ground was
completely rebuilt at a reported cost of £14 million. The current capacity
of the ground is around 7,000, with 5,000 covered and just over 2,000 of
those seated. Away fans are housed in the South stand, which is completely
covered and holds 1,400. Telford's all-time record
attendance for a match at the ground is 13,000, recorded against Shrewsbury
Town in 1935.
The highest attendance the club have achieved at the
redeveloped ground is 4,215 against Kendal Town on May 7 2005 whilst
the record attendance for a game not featuring
Telford is 6,280 for the Wolves v
Liverpool reserve team game on November 15 2004.
This will be Albion’s first ever game at first team level
against AFC Telford United, the club formed by the Shropshire club’s
supporters trust on 26th May 2004, the same day the decision was made to
liquidate Telford United FC. Albion's reserve team did
play Telford United FC on a number of occasions. During the latter part of
the 1800's and early part of the 1900's Wellington Town, as the club were
known until 1969, were regular opponents for Albion reserves, the first game
between the two sides taking place at Stoney Lane, West Bromwich on 22
September 1898 with Albion running out 3-0 winners. The last time the clubs
met came at the New Bucks Head in August 2002 in a testimonial game for
United defender Lee Fowler.
