MATCH
NOTES
The game will be the 106th league and cup meeting between Albion and
the Foxes. The Baggies currently have 49 wins to their name compared to City's
34.
Albion's last game on November 1 came in 2010 when they suffered a
controversial 2-1 Premier League defeat away at Blackpool, a game that saw
Roberto Di Matteo's side reduced to nine men with the sending off of both Pablo
Ibanez and Gonzalo Jara. The club's last win on this
date came in 1986 with a 3-2 win over Birmingham City in a Second Division clash
at The Hawthorns, Scottish striker Bobby Williamson hitting two of the Albion
goals.
Leicester's last game on this date came in 2011
when they beat Burnley 3-1 in a Championship clash at Turf Moor.
The game is the first Premier League meeting of the
sides.
The Baggies have won three and drew one of the four
previous games between the sides played at the King Power / Walkers Stadium.
Albion's last defeat at Leicester came over 20
years ago, back in January 1994.
If selected, Baggies' goalkeeper Ben Foster will
make his 100th league start for the club.
Albion striker Saido Berahino will be attempting to
become the first player since Peter Odemwingie to score in five successive
league games for the club, Odemwingie achieving the feat in April 2011.

REFEREE
Stuart Attwell (Warwickshire)
The game will be Attwell's first in the Premier
League since he was demoted from the 'select' group of referees back in January
2012 following a series of high profile mistakes. Ironically, Attwell's last
game in the top-flight also involved Albion, the Baggies losing 1-0 at home to
Everton on New Year's Day 2012.
He has previously taken charge of seven Albion
games, the Baggies winning one, drawing four and losing two.
Attwell last took charge of a Leicester game back
in March 2013 - the Foxes' 1-0 defeat at home to Millwall.
The Warwickshire official has issued 34 yellow
cards and one red in the 12 games he has taken charge of so far this season.
TICKET INFORMATION
The Baggies have sold out their entire 3,000 ticket
allocation.

A blunder from Leicester keeper
Conrad Logan helped West Brom come out on top in their fourth round Carling Cup
tie. Simon Cox dinked over Logan to put the Baggies ahead before the Foxes
levelled when Nicky Shorey turned a Paul Gallagher cross into his own net. But
Logan fluffed a hopeful ball forward from the visitors and left Somen Tchyoi a
simple finish to score. Steven Reid added to the West Brom lead with a header
and a long range Cox strike secured their victory.
West Brom are sixth in the
Premier League after a win over Fulham last Saturday and manager Roberto Di
Matteo chose to give the team that earned that win a rest as he made 11 changes.
Leicester counterpart Sven-Goran Eriksson made eight changes and, although his
side made the better start, the Foxes soon found themselves behind. Giles Barnes
sent a Baggies cross to the far post where Tchoyi passed to Roman Bednar and his
effort found its way to Cox, who produced a lovely finish to dink the ball over
on-rushing keeper Logan with aplomb. The goal opened the game up and, while the
pace of Lloyd Dyer provided a threat for Leicester, it was the visitors who
started to take a stranglehold of the match. Midfielder Graham Dorrans was
looking an assured figure for Di Matteo's men and he produced a delightful ball
to find an unmarked Bednar, whose header was tipped over by Logan. However,
Leicester were back on level terms when a Gallagher ball across the face of the
Baggies goal was put into his own net by substitute Shorey. The home side were
level for only nine minutes before a
West Brom ball inexplicably spooned off
Logan's gloves and fell for
Tchoyi, who was recently gifted a goal against Manchester United after keeper
Edwin van der Sar spilled a cross and was again the beneficiary of a mistake as
he scored to put the Baggies ahead again. Reid had been an influential figure
for the Premier League side and he got the goal his performance deserved when he
headed in a corner at the far post. And Cox showed his finishing prowess when he
powered in a long range strike, which might have taken a deflection off Yuki
Abe, to put the Di Matteo's men into the quarter-finals.
