OPPOSITION VIEW - QUEENS PARK RANGERS Q&A

Ahead of Saturday's game at Loftus Road, we caught up with Rangers' fan Simon, from the website QPRnet. He gives his views on the R's season so far, Harry Redknapp, the Baggies,
and more. You can also follow QPRnet on twitter @qprnet

IT'S NOT BEEN A GREAT FIRST FEW MONTHS OF THE SEASON FOR THE R'S, DID SUPPORTERS EXPECT BETTER PRIOR TO THE SEASON'S START?

I'm not sure many held much hope in terms of making a big impact this season. We were a fair way off the top two last season in the end and two weeks behind the rest in our preparation. The season started poorly but I think if anyone said they expected to finish any higher than 17th at the start I think they'd be kidding themselves.

HOW HAVE PERFORMANCES BEEN IN GENERAL?

A mixed bag. Listless to start off with, both home and away. Things have picked up dramatically at home but away form is still dire.

YOUR HOME RECORD IS PRETTY DECENT COMPARED TO THE CLUB'S AWFUL AWAY RECORD. ANY OBVIOUS REASON WHY THERE'S SUCH AN ANOMALY BETWEEN THE TWO?

The players almost seem beaten before a ball has been kicked away. At home it's a totally different story. If you selected the same XI home and away for two consecutive games you'd get two totally different displays. It's a mental thing and I'm not sure how you change it to be honest.

WHAT'S THE CURRENT FEELING AMONGST SUPPORTERS TOWARDS RANGERS' BOSS HARRY REDKNAPP, IS HE UNDER ANY PRESSURE FROM THE CLUB'S HIERARCHY OR FANS?

Redknapp seems to have unwavering boardroom support, the same can't be said for the terraces. Certainly on twitter it seems you're for him or against with no middle ground. I think like most clubs, when it's going badly the grumbling starts but soon dies down with a decent run. Ask Pardew!

WHAT LINE-UP AND TACTICS ARE WE LIKELY TO SEE FROM RANGERS ON SATURDAY?

With Caulker likely to be out following his Xmas party injury I'd expect a 4-4-2 of Green, Isla, Onuoha, Dunne, Yun, Vargas, Barton, Henry, Fer, Austin, Zamora.

We'll look to be quite direct and play off Zamora early on but if we get ahead you'll see more football. They will also look to try and press high and hit on the break.

ANY PARTICULAR WEAKNESS IN THE QPR TEAM ALBION SHOULD BE LOOKING TO EXPLOIT?

There is often space on the left as Fer tends to drift inside leaving Yun a little exposed. Onuoha isn't the most confident in possession so teams look to press him and force an error.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON SO FAR?

Has to be Charlie Austin. His finishing has been excellent and his hold up play is improving by the week

ANYONE BEEN PARTICULARLY DISAPPOINTING?

Jordon Mutch hasn't hit his straps yet. I'm not really sure what we've bought in him for to be honest. Joey Barton is also struggling of late, a good player in a good team but not good enough to drag a poor team along with him.

PREDICTION FOR RANGERS' SEASON?

If we can start getting some away points I think we'll be ok, if we don't then home form alone won't keep us up

PREDICTION FOR ALBION'S SEASON?

I think Albion will be ok, a bottom six finish but safe before there's an issue.

PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPS?

Chelsea will win it at a canter unfortunately.

RELEGATED?

Leicester, Burnley and Hull I reckon. If we don't improve away from home then swap Hull for us!

PREDICTION AND THOUGHTS ON SATURDAY'S GAME?

I think we'll come back strongly after a disappointing showing at Everton. We are a different animal at Loftus Road. I think we'll pinch it by the odd goal. It'll be a tight one though.
