SYNOPSIS
The Albion Review 1996 is a complete report and statistical analysis of a quite
extraordinary season for the Baggies.
After a bright start saw them
twice go close to reaching the top of the table, a dreadful mid-season collapse
plummeted them into the relegation zone, before a fine revival took them to
their highest finish on the League ladder since 1988-89.
Off the field the campaign was
equally eventful, with a change in the club's constitution giving birth to West
Bromwich Albion plc and a far broader base of shareholders to provide
much-needed capital.
The highs and lows of this
rollercoaster campaign are all chronicled here in the greatest detail. Every
match played, in all competitions, is highlighted together with pictures and a
complete statistical breakdown of the season - from team line-ups and on-going
League placings to appearances and goalscoring records (plus pen pictures) of
every player who turned out for the Baggies during 1995-96.
Week-to-week injury and transfer
news, reserves and youth team fixtures plus off the field developments, are also
included in this unique record of Albion's season.
The Albion Review 1996 follows
1995's well-received inaugural edition of a continuing and collectable series
which will be treasured by all Albion enthusiasts.
