INTRODUCTION

Every picture tells a story and this book contains over 300, all with a West Bromwich Albion connection! I am not going to bore you with words.....this is a simple introduction to what I think is a great book. I am asking you to enjoy the pictures that follow, digest them, remember the good old days, the great players from yesteryear, those memorable matches, the incidents that turned games and much, much more. You must also think and recall those disappointing seasons, especially in the mid to late 1980s when The Hawthorns was sometimes a very dreary place to be!

West Bromwich Albion Football Club, in truth, has been down in the doldrums quite a few times - but one feels, in all honesty, that right now it is heading upwards. The bad years have long gone (we hope). The future is bright, very bright, and with a cracking ground, I am sure the pictures that are printed from 2001 onwards will feature plenty more international players, a Premiership team and trophies galore - why not!.
