The above West Bromwich Strollers game against Hudson's was discovered during research undertaken by Albion historians in 1990, and for a time was recognised as Albion's first ever match - It was long thought that the Strollers and Albion were the same club. However, an interview given in 1912 by one of Albion's founders - Harry Bell - unearthed in 1997, suggested that the Strollers had infact folded the year before Albion came into existence.
