           NOTES
Albion record their first victory over Villa for the first time in 26 years.
Peter Odemwingie becomes the first Baggies player to score in four successive Barclays Premier League games.
Assistant Villa manager Gary McAllister took over managerial duties from Gérard Houllier on April 23, after the Frenchman was taken to hospital on April 22 with chest
pains. Houllier was later ordered to bed rest and medicine and would not be able to return to the touchline until after the end of the season.
